MaliceTV is one clean app that turns a cheap Android TV box — or your phone and tablet — into an all-in-one hub for movies, shows and anime, retro games, recipes and music. Nothing to bolt together, nothing bundled you didn't ask for: you bring what you want, and it stays on your device.
The team behind it
MaliceTV is made by HaagLabs — an independent developer in the United States. Not a big company, not a subscription machine: one builder who was tired of juggling half a dozen apps and add-ons just to watch, play and listen on the TV, and decided to build the single app that does it all.
Every part of MaliceTV — the media browser, the built-in retro game console, the PC game and screen streaming, the recipe browser, the music player, even the original games and music included with the app — was designed and built in-house. That hands-on approach is the whole point: it stays simple, it stays fast, and when something breaks, it gets fixed by the person who wrote it.
What we believe
We think the stuff on your screen should belong to you. MaliceTV ships neutral — it doesn't come with a film or TV catalog, and it doesn't lock you into anyone's ecosystem. You connect the metadata and sources you already use, run your own media server from your own PC if you like, and everything you set up lives on your device and your home network. No accounts to browse your media, no data harvested, no monthly fee for the core experience.
The only content that comes with the app is ours: original games and music we made, free with the app. A one-time $4.99 Pro unlock opens the extra features for people who want them — bought once, kept forever, no subscription.
Where it runs
MaliceTV is designed for a remote and a 10-foot screen first, then works with touch on phones and tablets — the same app, one purchase. It's still young and in active development, and we're adding to it steadily. If you spot a bug or want a feature, tell us — feedback goes straight to the person building it.
